Disney's Hollywood Studios is currently in the thick of Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and with only a few weeks to go before the official opening of this new land, they have announced that, much like the version of this land in California, there will be a strict reservation system in place for some of the locations at the east coast Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. If you're planning on visiting this land from a galaxy far, far away any time soon, here's what you need to know

Reservation System now available for Oga's Cantina, Droid Depot and Savi's Workshop

Though there has been some questions about the popularity of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, it looks like Disney is still expecting some big crowds at the Disney's Hollywood Studios version of this land, and have implemented a reservation system for the following attractions:

  • Oga’s Cantina:  Reservations are available from 6:00 AM through 9:30 PM daily, starting on August 29th, the day of the land’s official opening, and are available through the beginning of February. Guests who are able to successfully able to get a reservation for this waering hole should be prepared to present their reservation confirmation email, photo ID and the credit card provided at the time of booking in order to gain entry. And even with reservations, there may be a bit of a wait as guests can only be admitted as soon as space that accommodates their party size becomes available. Late arrivals may not be accommodated, seating is not guaranteed upon entry, and separate parties may be seated together (and large parties may be separated). Disney is also enforcing a two drink maximum for guests visiting this watering hole. You can click here to make a reservation.
  • Droid Depot: Though no reservation is required to purchase a pre-assembled droid at the Droid Depot, if you want to make your own Droid, you will need to make a reservation up to 180 days in advance. If you fail to timely cancel and are a no-show, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged $99.99 per builder. Reservations can be made here.
  • Savi's Workshop: One of the big surprises from the debut of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland was the popularity of the lightsaber-building experience at Savi's Workshop, which continues to draw a massive amount of guests. Unsurprisingly, Walt Disney World is also requiring reservations for guests who want to experience this special activity, and like the Droid Depot experience, guests who don't show up for their reservation will be charged a no-show fee for the entire cost of the experience, which in this instance is $199.99. Interested guests can make reservations here
