This week at Walt Disney World, Disney offers deep discounts for guests visiting this summer, offering free dining and girft cards to resort guests, plus Epcot gets a special visit from the US Navy Blue Angels and the replacement for Happy HalloWishes is finally announced. 

Outside Walt Disney World, Universal confirms its holiday plans, SeaWorld announces a spring discount and Busch Gardens announces prizes for its annual 5k! 

1. US Navy Blue Angels to fly over Epcot next month

The United States Navy's Blue Angel squadron is scheduled to make a fly over of Epcot on May 2 2019 with two passes, first in a formation flight, and the second a Delta break over the iconic Spaceship Earth. The team will be honoring Military Appreciation Month in May.

2.  New discounts and deals available for summer travellers 

This week Disney has released some brand new discounts and deals for guests visiting the resort this summer. First up, guests can receive a FREE quick service meal per person (ages 3 and up), with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night/5-day room and theme park ticket package at select Disney Moderate and Value Resort hotels.Offer valid for arrivals most nights from May 28 through August 21, 2019, and must be booked before June 30, 2019. 

In addition to this offer, Disney is offering guests who visit in June a Disney Gift Card at check-in, the value of which is based on Resort Category and length stay:

Disney Value Resorts: $10 per room per night

Disney Moderate Resorts: $15 per room per night

Disney Deluxe Resorts: $20 per room per night

Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts: $25 per room per night

3. New show confirmed for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Neither the 2018 nor the 2017 edition of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party featured any new shows or entertainment offerings, but it looks like this temporary dry spell is ending in 2019, as this year's event will feature a brand new nighttime show. Though we've been expecting this change since the end of Wishes in 2016, Disney has finally announced that the long-running Happy HalloWishes will not be returning, and its its place will be a new show that will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night.

According to Disney the show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.
