3. The ride vehicles will be trackless, and hold 8 guests at a time

Once guests get through all of the pre-show experiences (which should last around 20 minutes or so), they be loaded into special trackless "First Order transport vehicles"  that hold two rows of four people, for a total of eight passengers. And while each vehicle will follow a pre-determined path, a First Order droid will be there to “drive” the vehicle at the front (and probably provide some commentary as well). The vehicles travel in pairs, which means there will be 16 guests leaving the loading area every ride cycle.

4. The ride will feature several appearances by Kylo Ren in animatronic form

Though we won't go into specifics, it looks like guests will be spending a lot of time with anti-hero Kylo Ren during this attraction, with this character making several appearances in the attraction, often in animatronic form. Though some might have hoped for more of a focus on main character Rey, it looks like this attraction will have more of a Dark Side focus, and featuring fan favorite Kylo Ren certainly sounds like a great choice, especially as new trilogy characters like Finn and Poe already appear in the nearby Star Tours attraction.

Though Disney hasn't released a lot of official information about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, we expect that to change very soon, as this attraction is set to debut in just a few months at Disneyland, which will see their version of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge open this summer, right before Disney's Hollywood Studios' version opens this winter. You can check out a small preview of this ride in the video below, released last month.

Are you excited to check out Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance? Or are you still more excited to pilot the Millennium Falcon on Star Wars: Smuggler's Run?
