This week at Walt Disney World, it has been a light week for news, as the parks swell to capacity levels during the busy holiday season. Still, there are plenty of preparations being made for the upcoming New Year's Eve and New Year's Day celebrations, Disney gives us a new inside peek at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and an attraction closes due to a guest issue.

Outside Walt Disney World, SeaWorld gets ready to kick off its own New Year's Eve celebrations before heading into the Three Kings Day festival.

1. Disney releases Christmas Day preview for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Earlier this week, Disney released the above all-new preview of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, featuring an on-ride look at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and the first official footage of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which is now being called the biggest and most immersive Disney Parks attraction ever.

2. Miss Adventure Falls remains closed at Typhoon Lagoon following accident

Last week it was reported that there was a man who got his arms caught in a net on the Miss Adventure Falls attraction at Typhoon Lagoon. Though no injury was reported, Disney is keeping this attraction closed until this park's refurbishment, just as a precaution.
