Earlier this year Disney reintroduced the Disney After Hours event, which gives guests extra time in the Magic Kingdom to enjoy attractions with little to no wait after regular park closing. Guests with a ticket to Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom are able to get into the park slightly before closing at 7:00 PM, and then can stay for three hours past closing, all while enjoying complimentary bottled drinks and ice cream novelties.
And while this event was previously only available at the Magic Kingdom, given Disney's current climate of pushing upcharge events, it might come as little surprise that Disney is expanding this event to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom this fall, and is also hiking the price as well.
Disney After Hours gets just a little bit more expensive
Earlier this year Disney After Hours event tickets cost $119 for guests who purchased in advance, and $124 for day-of purchasers. However, this fall the price will rise to $125 + tax for advance purchase and $129 + tax for day-of purchases. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders will also pay more, as the previous price of $89 has risen to $95 + tax. This price is standard for all Disney After Hours events, regardless of park. This hike is still lower than the original price for Disney After hours, but it looks like Disney is really trying to nudge prices back to where they were in 2016, when the event was essentially a bust.
So what do you get for this price? Well, the Magic Kingdom event will essentially be the same as it has been in the past (with event nights now scheduled for November 26, December 3 & 10, January 7, 17, 24 & 28, February 7, 14, & 28, and March 7), but if you are thinking about checking out Disney After Hours at another park, here's what you can expect:
