Character meet and greets are a big part of what makes a trip to Walt Disney World so special, and in recent months Disney has taken it upon themselves to make a number of improvements and changes to each park's character line-up. While not all of these changes are always popular with guests, Disney is constantly making adjustments to try and make character offerings as diverse as possible while still keeping things running efficiently around the parks.

In this month's character update, several characters get new costumes, a temporary change comes to Epcot, plus new characters are set to move into an all-new character meeting space before the end of the week!

1. Mickey and Minnie get new outfits for Mickey's 90th birthday early next year

Disney is celebrating Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday this month, and in celebration of this amazing milestone, Disney will be debuting a new look next year for Mickey and Minnie at the Magic Kingdom. As you can see in the image of, Mickey Mouse will be wearing a crisp white suit with a shower of colorful confetti, while fashion icon Minnie Mouse will don a puff-sleeve dress adorned with pompons and a buoyant bubble skirt.

These new looks will debut next year as part of the recently-announced Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party, which was announced only a few weeks ago and will feature live singers performing new music

2. Toy Story Characters to get temporary new costumes this week

To help bring the holidays to life inside Toy Story Land, Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear will wear new Christmas themed costumes in Toy Story Land beginning this week on November 8th. As seen above, Woody will be getting a holiday vest and candy cane for his holster, Jessie will receive a red vest with peppermints and Buzz Lightyear will show off his new sparkly Santa hat. These new additions are a part of a larger Toy Story Land holiday overlay

3. Stitch's Alien Encounter to stick around for the foreseeable future

Though we already know that Stitch's Great Escape isn't coming back, it looks like Disney doesn't have any immediate plans for this corner of Tomorrowland, which means that Stitch's Alien Encounter, the "temporary" character experience that opened last year, will be sticking around for the foreseeable future as Disney decides what to do with this now-abandoned attraction space.
