The holiday season is the most-visited time of the year at Walt Disney World, and though some things remain the same year over year (like the Candleight Processional over at Epcot and the visits from Santa at Disney Springs) Disney does make both big and small changes every year to their holiday lineup. And though we're still a few days away from Halloween, with the majority of this year's seasonal celebrations kicking off next week, let's take a quick look at some of the important changes coming to Disney parks during the holidays:

1.  UP: A Great Bird Adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom gets a holiday update

We were shocked late last year when Disney discontinued the educational Flights of Wonder at Disney's Animal Kingdom after 20 years of performances and replaced it with a more "edutainment"-style show themed to the movie UP. Though the focus of this show remained on birds, the addition of movie characters and a new "host" made for an awkward show that was almost universally panned by guests.

However, perhaps the show will see some improvements this holiday season, as Disney has announced that they will be making changes to this show to celebrate the Diwali festival beginning in November. Though much of the bird species presentations will remain the same, guests can learn more about this holiday celebration in a new segment that will be added to the show during this festive season.

2. Holiday overlay coming to Toy Story Land

It might not be the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, but Disney has confirmed that Toy Story Land will be celebrating its first holiday season at Disney's Hollywood Studios with some "seasonal enhancements" as part of a new overlay this winter.

Beginning November 8th, guests can enjoy the land’s new holiday decor, which will include oversized cranberry-and-popcorn garland, a holiday card “selfie” of Toy Story pals, an oversized Hamm sugar cookie, Green Alien ornaments and more. The land’s attractions will also be have special effects added for the holiday season, with sleigh bells ringing on Slinky Dog Dash, and special music and lighting effects on Alien Swirling Saucers.

You can check out an early look at some of these enhancements in the video above.
