If you’ve been following the news out of Walt Disney World for the last several days, you may have noticed a theme: cuts are being made pretty much everywhere. From the removal of more than half a dozen characters around the resort to the closure of a full land and the downsizing of a popular nighttime spectacular, things are starting to look a little sparse around Walt Disney World.
Just last week a number of cuts were announced for Disney's Animal Kingdom and now it looks like cuts are coming to another Disney park: Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here is everything that is currently being downsized at this park.
1. MuppetVision 3D cuts hours for the foreseeable future
WDWNT is reporting that Disney has made the decision to cut hours at MuppetVision 3D with this attraction now only open from 10am to 6pm daily. Though individual attraction hours are subject to change, this reduced operating schedule looks like it is currently planned to be in place through at least April 22nd, 2019. And unfortunately, it looks like this corner of Disney's Hollywood Studios has also gotten another cut as well...
2. PizzeRizzo closes at Disney's Hollywood Studios, switching to seasonal service
Right next door to MuppetVision 3D, PizzeRizzo at Disney's Hollywood Studios (which has only been open two years) has closed down for the foreseeable future. Though Disney has not said when this quick service spot will reopen, we'd imagine that if attendance picks up this holiday season this Muppets-themed restaurant will open its doors once again in time for Christmas, potentially with an improved menu (reportedly guest satisfaction with this new dining establishment was very low, with many citing the menu as an issue with this restaurant). Though nothing is certain about this location, we feel confident saying that it will reopen at some point, as Disney will need to extra dining capacity once Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in 2019.
