Though it may not initially seem like it, Walt Disney World has truly come into its own in recent years as a real food lover’s paradise. If you count yourself as one of the many who love eating their way around the Walt Disney World parks and resorts, there are some big changes taking effect right now you should know about.
For October's dining update, Disney (temporarily) shutters a quick service eatery at Disney's Hollywood Studios, popular food items get more expensive across the resort, plus a new restaurant is announced for Disney Springs...opening in 2019!
1. PizzeRizzo closes at Disney's Hollywood Studios, switching to seasonal service
Though PizzeRizzo at Disney's Hollywood Studios has not been open very long, this eatery has closed down for the fall as part of the sweeping cuts hitting Walt Disney World this fall. Though Disney has not said when this quick service spot will reopen, we'd imagine that if attendance picks up this holiday season this Muppets-themed restaurant will open its doors once again in time for Christmas, potentially with an improved menu (reportedly guest satisfaction with this new dining establishment was very low, with many citing the menu as an issue with this restaurant). Though nothing is certain about this location, we feel confident saying that it will reopen at some point, as Disney will need to extra dining capacity once Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in 2019.
