5 Interesting New Things Happening Right Now at Disney Springs (August 2018)

Disney Springs has become quite the subject of controversy for the past few years, with some outspoken fans saying this re-imagined shopping district has become too much like an outlet mall and isn’t really keeping with the “spirit” of the former Downtown Disney district any more. However, no matter how you feel about the changing face of this location, in the two years since this shopping district opened, Disney has been making a lot of changes, opening new stores, offering great deals, and even hosting some character-based events.

This month, a brand new quick service eatery from a celebrity chef opens, Disney Springs gets ready to hit another expansion milestone, plus trendy new treats are available and a popular store offers some fun activities for August...including a ball pit!

1. Chicken Guy now open

Chicken Guy!, a new fast-casual restaurant at Disney Springs owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri opened at Disney Springs this week. The menu features all-natural chicken tenders that are hand-pounded and breaded fresh every day, plus 22 different dipping sauces for endless combinations.

This restaurant also features chicken sandwiches like the Big Bite B.L.A.T. which comes with crispy smoked bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, and creamy buttermilk ranch sauce.

Sides include Chicken Guy! Fries with a signature seasoning, Mac Daddy Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and Loaded Fries smothered in SMC (Super Melty Cheese) and topped with chopped grilled chicken, bacon, and green onions.

2. Uniqlo to offer special deals and activities this month
