4 Last-Minute Things You Should Know About Toy Story Land Before This Weekend

3. Slinky Dog Dash to also have on-ride photo

And speaking of Slinky Dog Dash, it was also revealed that this much-anticipated new ride will also include an on-ride photo opp that will snap guests' pictures during a climactic part of the attraction. This isn't too much of a surprise considering the prevalence of on-ride photos (Disney has even been adding photo opportunities to existing attractions like Frozen Ever After and Pirates of the Caribbean in recent years), but it is nice to have confirmation of this development before the opening of this land in just a few days.

4. Guaranteed Toy Story Land access now bundled with fall vacation package

If you want to check out Toy Story Land, but don't want to fight the crowds that are sure to show up, you might be interested in the new Ultimate Disney Fall Into Magic Package, which was announced last week and includes exclusive experiences, including access to Toy Story Land. The limited-time deal includes a five-night stay at a select Disney Resort hotel for guest arrival on September 3 and departure on September 8, and includes four-day Magic Your Way tickets as well as an itinerary full of scheduled experiences in all four Theme Parks, including exclusive access to the brand new Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here's the full itinerary for this new package:

  • September 3 – Guests arrive at Walt Disney World Resort.
  • September 4 – Epcot - Exclusive welcome dinner party inspired by Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
  • September 5 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom - A Nighttime Kilimanjaro Safaris Adventure, exclusive “Rivers of Light” viewing just for guests on this package.
  • September 6 – Disney’s Hollywood Studios - Play around with two hours of exclusive evening access to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 10:00 PM to Midnight.
  • September 7 – Magic Kingdom Park - Access to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
  • September 8 – Guests depart Walt Disney World Resort.

This new package will cost $149 per person, per night, for a family of four in a Standard Room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, for a total package price of $2,980, which isn't too expensive with the options available and tickets included.

Though the two new attractions coming to Toy Story Land are nothing like the attractions that were developed for 2017's Pandora - The World of Avatar, this new land is nevertheless projected to attract big crowds both this weekend and through the rest of the summer. Disney is already riding high off of several quarters of massive attendance growth, and though a kiddie roller coaster and a simple flat-ride may not sound all that exciting, many guests will still want to check out what's new at Walt Disney World, and Toy Story Land will likely end up being quite the draw simply because it is the most recent opening at the resort. Are you going to be checking out this new land in the next few days?
