Theme park attractions come and go all the time, and even though we’d like all our favorite rides and shows to stick around forever, the sad fact is that we have to say goodbye to at least a few every year.

Though it has been a while since Disney has seen any major closures, it has been confirmed in recent weeks that the following attractions will not be sticking around much longer at Walt Disney World.

1 Discovery Island Carnivale

Location: Disney's Animal Kingdom

Status: Going extinct February 3, 2018

Recently, Disney opened Donald's Dino-Rama, which is a brand new permanent character hub in DinoLand USA. And in addition to the new character meet and greets that debuted as part of this attraction, this character hub will also host a nightly DJ Dance party, which will take place near Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

And while this definitely is a fun part of this new character attraction, unfortunately it has come at the expense of the Discovery Island Carnivale, which is another dance party that takes place nightly outside the nearby Flame Tree Barbecue quick service restaurant. Though there's certainly space in the park for multiple dance parties, perhaps because of the proximity to this new attraction, Disney has decided to discontinue the Discovery Island Carnivale, with this entertainment offering going away forever in just a few days after June 16th. Sadly, this also means that Panchito and Jose Carioca from The Three Caballeros will no longer be a part of the character lineup at Walt Disney World.

2. Disney Junior: Live on Stage
