Marvel Land is Coming in 2020. Here's What You Need to Know

Could Frozen - Live at the Hyperion be closing in the near future?

While not announced, a close look at the official concept art reveals a very familiar bulding on the left side of Marvel Land - The Hyperion Theater. While its possible that this show building could just be getting a new coat of paint so it can fit in with Marvel Land, we would guess that Disney is looking to run the current Frozen show for another year and will then potentially be filling this theater space with a new show that is Marvel-related.

Of course, this is all speculation at this point, but with Frozen already making waves on Broadway, it seems likely that the Disney California Adventure version of a Frozen stage show will go the way of the Aladdin stage show after that property was adapted for Broadway four years ago.

Thinking more broadly about how Marvel Land fits into the park, some have wondered if another name change could be in the cards for this park. After all, with Paradise Pier currently transforming into Pixar Pier and Hollywood Land continuing to erode, there doesn't seem to be much of the "California" theme left in this park. While a name change would be at least two years away, if Disney is truly considering a new identity for this park, we'd expect an announcement after Star Wars Land opens at Disneyland Park next year, and perhaps another official "grand re-opening" in 2020.

How do you feel about the first details for Marvel Land at Disney California Adventure? What do you hope to see as part of this new land?
