4 Rumors About the Future of Walt Disney World We Can’t Ignore

While we’ve been getting a ton of updates recently about confirmed new attractions coming to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom in the coming years, there have also been some new rumors that have surfaced concerning developments at all four parks. While none of these rumors have been officially acknowledged by Disney, considering some of the evidence in favor of these reports, we simply can't ignore them!

1. The Hall of Presidents to reopen in 2017 after all?

The Hall of Presidents officially went down for refurbishment on January 17th, and Disney originally planned to reopen this attraction six months later on June 30th. Even though this was already a long refurbishment, Disney announced earlier this year that this attraction would miss its summer 2017 reopening target date, and would likely reopen much later this fall.

And while the refurbishment was originally scheduled through December 31, 2017 on the official Hall of Presidents attraction page, a new report from WDWMagic indicates that this attraction might actually be opening before the end of the year after all. Though Disney has yet to say anything official about this attraction re-opening any time soon, it would certainly be a good thing to have another open attraction at the Magic Kingdom before the holiday rush of guests crashes the most-visited theme park in the world, even if the reopening of the Hall of Presidents has been embroiled in some controversy since its closing earlier this year.

2. Club 33 delayed indefinitely?

Earlier this year Walt Disney World made the shocking announcement that Club 33, the ultra-exclusive dining establishment at Disneyland would be making its way East before the end of 2017. Though prospective locations have been scouted out (with some even closing, like the former Chase Louge at Epcot's American Adventure) pricing and details have yet to be released for this project, and Disney has not released any official updates since this project was first announced earlier this year.

For those hoping to hear more about this project, a waitlist for information on Club 33 at Walt Disney World has been established, and Guests interested in joining can now email WDWClub33@disneyworld.com to be among the first to hear more about this exclusive membership and sign up at an as-now undisclosed date.
