Though we’re several years away from the openings of new rides at Epcot, the holiday season will be bringing some interesting new things to this park for crowds to check out over the next few weeks. From a new show in Future World to the long-awaited opening of a new World Showcase watering hole, here are all the new things guests can do this month at Epcot!
1. SpectacuLAB now open at Innoventions East
Announced last month, SpectacuLAB, presented by Murata, is a new show housed in Innoventions East that features real demonstrations that bring to life the wonders of science and innovation, presented by a group of real scientists, along with an eager tech-savvy intern, for a series of engaging experiments demonstrating basic principles of science.
Guests can catch this brand new show (which opened just a few days ago) five times daily inside the former Vision House, which has been completely remodeled with plenty of seating for guests wanting to check out this new entertainment offering. While there are benches for adult guests, younger guests are encouraged to sit up front on the carpet so they can get a close look at the scientific presentation.
The show relies heavily on audience participation, with guests able to participate in experiments that put scientific principles like ultrasonic pressure, barometric pressure, acceleration and force to the test with fun, hands-on experiments that should help give guests a new appreciation for everyday science that affects their daily lives. The show is about 20 minutes long, and times will change based on season, so if you want to check it out the next time you are in Future World, make sure you double-check the times guide to see when the SpectacuLAB will be open.
