Though it may not initially seem like it, Walt Disney World has truly come into its own in recent years as a real food lover’s paradise. If you count yourself as one of the many who love eating their way around the Walt Disney World parks and resorts, there are some big changes taking effect right now you should know about.
For September's dining update, we take a look at a new addition at the Magic Kingdom, a removal at Disney's Animal Kingdom, plus a rescheduled refurbishment at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
1. New Citrus Swirl Float now available at the Magic Kingdom
Though the Dole Whip Float is a common fixture at the Aloha Isle, the other famous Magic Kingodm sweet treat, the Citrus Swirl, doesn't have its own similar concoction. That is, until now. Guests who visit the Sunshine Tree Terrace, will find a new concoction available that adds orange soda to the classic Citrus Swirl. It is unknown if this is a limited-time test or a permanent addition to the menu, so if you really want to try this new sweet treat, you'll want to head out to the Magic Kingdom soon!
2. Breakfast no longer available at Pandora - The World of Avatar
Effective this week, the Satu’li Canteen inside Pandora - The World of Avatar, will no longer be serving breakfast daily, with this dining establishment now opening at 10:00 AM daily for lunch service. Breakfast is now only available at Restaurantosaurus at this park, meaning early risers who head to Pandora - The World of Avatar first thing won't be able to get a bite to eat on their way to this area of the park.
3. Chef Mickey's refurbishment rescheduled
The refurbishment of Chef Mickey's which was originally planned to take place from July 28 through to August 13th has been rescheduled and will now take place from mid-November through the end of the year. During this refurbishment, the character dining buffet will relocate to the convention center at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
