1. Epcot International Food and Wine Festival kicks off
This year's 22nd edition of the Epcot Interntional Food and Wine Festival, kicked off on August 31st, and will take place for a record 75 days, running until November 14th. This year's event features 35 marketplaces, including two newbies in the World Showcase, India and Spain, and several additions in Future World as well, including the incandescent Light Lab which is serving up all sorts of spirited concoctions as well as a special "glownut". That 35 number isn't an accident by the way, and corresponds with Epcot’s 35th anniversary.
2. Walt Disney Presents opens next week at Disney's Hollywood Studios
One Man's Dream at Disney's Hollywood Studios will officially change its name to Walt Disney Presents next week on September 8th. Along with a new sign and some additional exhibits related to Walt Disney's life in the front of this building, Disney will be debuting a space specifically for previews of upcoming attractions in front of the theater area, including scaled models of both Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and even concept art for the upcoming Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride.
3. Chef Mickey's refurbishment rescheduled
The refurbishment of Chef Mickey's which was originally planned to take place from July 28 through to August 13th has been rescheduled and will now take place from mid-November through the end of the year. During this refurbishment, the character dining buffet will relocate to the convention center at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
