Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer and is almost always a busy weekend for Disney parks. However, in the past, though the parks have been busy (especially the Magic Kingdom) Disney really hasn't had to deal with capacity-related closures for the most part during this season. However, 2017 could actually be the year to break that trend. And here’s why:
A record number of tourists are projected to be coming to central Florida for this holiday
Just a few weeks ago, travel club AAA reported that by their estimates that 2017 will be a record year for Florida tourism, with central Florida specifically making big gains this year when compared to 2016 and 2015, which both saw steady declines.
