While Epcot has become the center of special events at Walt Disney World in recent years (more than half of Epcot's current calendar is now taken up by events like the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival and the brand new Epcot Festival of the Arts), the Magic Kingdom also has its share of special events during the year, which kick off in the fall and take this park through the slower fall season and help the park finish the year strong.
Earlier this week we got the first news about some of the Magic Kingdom's fall events, including Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and even the Night of Joy Christian Concert series as well. And if you're planning on attending one of these events, here's everything you need to know:
1. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party now begins in August
Disney released dates last week for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and perhaps unsurprisingly 2017 is going to be a record-breaking year for this annual event, with more dates than ever before. However, instead of adding more party nights in October or even September, Disney has made the truly unprecedented step of expanding Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party into August (which is still technically summer) for the first time ever. Here's the full lineup of dates:
August 25 and 29, 2017
September 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29, 2017
October 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31, 2017
November 1, 2017
Ticket prices have not yet been released yet, but we'd imagine that this year will see a wide swath of pricing tiers, especially since the newly-announced summer dates may be a hard sell for guests who haven't even bought their costumes yet!
2. Dates have also been announced for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
In addition to the above dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney also announced dates last week for the 2017 edition of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as well. Fortunately for those who like to plan in advance, these which look remarkably similar to years past, and feature about the same amount of party dates. Here's the full lineup:
November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28
December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22
Like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, ticket prices for this special event have not been released yet, but we'd expect them to be in line with last year, especially considering some of Disney's confirmed entertainment options for this event...
