1. Beauty and the Beast additions hit Disney's Hollywood Studios
We're only a few weeks away from the premiere of the new live-action Beauty and the Beast film, and beginning February 10th, guests visiting the One Man’s Dream attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be able to check out an exclusive extended preview from the film. In addition, guests will also be able to see two props used in the production of the film: Belle’s iconic yellow ballroom dress and the magical rose protected within its bell jar.
In addition, beginning just a few days earlier on February 5, the Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage show will also be getting a special movie-inspired extra. Before each performance, a father and daughter from the audience will be invited onstage to sing a new song from the film in a special magical moment.
2. Extra Magic Hours to possibly be cut back at Disney's Hollywood Studios next month
As of right now, the official Walt Disney World calendar currently shows that evening Extra Magic Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be discontinued in just a few weeks, after February 24 2017. While it's true that nothing is set in stone and Disney could always update their official calendar before this date next month, we're inclined to believe that Disney really will end evening Extra Magic Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios before the end of next month. This is a developing story, and hopefully we will know more in the coming weeks.
3. Mary Poppins meeting in a new location at the Magic Kingdom
Though the Magic Kingdom's character lineup has been pretty stable since last fall, fan favorite Mary Poppins has returned to this park in recent days at a new location, and can now be found at the Liberty Square gazebo. It is unknown whether this is a temporary or permanent change.
