Disney parks are constantly changing their refurbishment schedules, making it difficult for guests to keep up with the operating times and latest news regarding their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are four big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by their respective parks or at the least very strongly rumored for the very near future.

We take a look at ongoing refurbishments happening at Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but we'll start with a west coast refurbishment that could have some interesting implications at Walt Disney World.

1. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Disney California Adventure / Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Status: Rumored

Dates: Late 2016 - 2017

Since we first reported on the possibility for the Guardians of the Galaxy was taking over the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, much has happened in regards to this rumor. Multiple west coast sources have confirmed that this project is indeed going forward at Disney California Adventure, with many expecting an announcement in the coming weeks confirming the attraction's closure for refurbishment later this year. It's expected that the refurbishment will only last a few months, with the new re-themed attraction reopening in time for the film release of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 on May 5th, 2017.

Though it looks like the future has been set for the west coast version of this ride, sources suggest that an identical East Coast overlay is now looking highly unlikely at Disney's Hollywood Studios. While the idea hasn't been completely scrapped just yet, the odds are looking long indeed for this re-theme at Walt Disney World, which is probably a good thing, not only for fans of the current Twilight Zone theming, but also for Disney's Hollywood Studios as a whole, as this park is down so many attractions due to construction that it really can't afford to lose another, even for only a few months during a refurbishment.

How do you feel about this recent development? Do you think the Guardians of the Galaxy overlay will be a better fit for the Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure than the version of this attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios? Or do you think this is a mistake? Let us know in the comments.

2. Soarin' Around the World (Epcot)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: Now - June 17, 2016

Construction on the third theater at The Land pavilion is now complete, and the finishing touches are being put on the queue for Soarin’ Around the World, which will be making its big debut in just a few weeks on June 17, 2016, just one day after this attraction makes its world premiere at Shanghai Disneyland's grand opening.

Confirmed locations for the new Soarin' film include The Great Wall of China, the Sydney Harbor in Australia, and the Matterhorn in Switzerland. Guests who simply can't wait for this attraction to open can head over to The Land right now, where Soarin's soundtrack has been playing in recent days in anticipation of this grand reopening in just a few weeks!

Stop it. I don't care how popular a movie is, stop refurnishing classic rides. I love Tower of Terror just the way it is.

Re-theming the Tower of Terror would break my heart. It's such a beloved, iconic piece of the Disney Parks, and to see it turned into a superhero ride feels kind of cheap. The Twilight Zone theme is timeless and unique. Guardians of the Galaxy is a good movie, and really trendy and popular right now. But what about in 5 or 6 years? To me it may feel like just another superhero ride, and I can go to Six Flags or Universal for that. I know the high quality of Disney's work wouldn't make the new ride "average," but I don't think it's a good idea.

NOOOOOOOO! Leave TOT alone!!! We like it just like that. PLEAZZZZE!

leave the tot terror enough with the marvel if its so great then superhero island in Florida would be a bigger draw than it is if you want to incorporate marvel build a 3rd park in Anaheim dedicated to marvel and other stupid stuff like avatar

I would be heartbroken if they do an overlay to TOT and get rid of all the amazing Twilight Zone stuff. Twilight Zone is still incredibly popular and has already stood the test of time. This is an amazing attraction, and I would be incredibly sad if it ceased to exist. The depth of this attraction stands on its own. Even for those unfamiliar with the show. This isn't like the Star Wars overlay to Space Mountain, which really didn't have much depth to the concept.
