The first two months of 2016 have been quite eventful at Walt Disney World, and have seen the official announcement of more than a half a dozen new attractions for the resort, the majority of which will be opening either this spring or this summer.

In addition, we've gotten some more information about Pandora: The World of Avatar, a few specifics have been revealed about Star Wars Land and a new nighttime spectacular has been announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Even Disney Springs has gotten a number of updates in the opening months of 2016 as well! Although there are an unprecedented number of projects in the works at Walt Disney World currently, here's what we know (currently) about all of them!

28. Soarin’ Around the World

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Summer 2016

It has been confirmed that the new, globally-focused Soarin’ Around the World film will replace the former Soarin’ Over California film at Epcot at the Soarin' attraction (which may or may not change its name to reflect the film change) once work on the third theater is complete (which is projected to be sometime this summer). While it is tough waiting for this new and improved version of one of Epcot's signature attractions, Disney has released a little preview clip to get guests excited about this upcoming attraction.

27. Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Summer 2016

Earlier this year, it was announced that Dream Along With Mickey would be leaving the Magic Kingdom forever on April 2, 2016, and would be replaced this summer with Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. This show will feature a completely new cast of characters from Disney’s more recent animated hits including Tangled, Princess and the Frog, and of course Frozen. This show will include several musical numbers, and should run about 20 minutes long (similar to Dream Along With Mickey).

26. Celebrity Spotlight

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Spring 2016

A new character experience will be debuting in the Echo Lake area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in just a few weeks. This new "Celebrity Spotlight" will feature a rotating cast of characters for guests to meet, and will kick things off soon with Frozen favorite Olaf. Though we don't know how long Olaf will be sticking around (or which seasonal character will be up next for rotation), this seems like it will be a fun new addition to the lineup at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

25. Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Summer 2016

Ever since the Magic of Disney Animation closed last year, Mickey has been homeless at Disney's Hollywood Studios, moving from temporary location to temporary location over the past few months. However, this summer Mickey and Minnie will finally get a permanent meet and greet space at this park.

Known officially as Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams, this new attraction will feature a red carpet for guests to walk as they head inside to meet Minnie Mouse, who will see guests first in this new experience. Minnie will be sporting a classic look for this character experience, dressed like a Hollywood starlet with her own dazzling background. From there, guests will then be able to go meet Mickey in his iconic Sorcerer’s Apprentice costume in front of a Fantasia-inspired background. The location for this new experience will be off Commissary Lane near the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, in the unused area of the Hyperion theater that formerly housed the audition rooms for the American Idol Experience.

24. Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: April 4, 2016

Starting next month, the Center Stage area (which is in front of the Great Movie Ride) will play host to a new live show entitled Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, which will feature iconic moments from the Star Wars series, not just from Episode VII, but from previous Star Wars films as well. Confirmed characters that will appear in this show include Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Chewbacca

23. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Summer 2016

Though the current Star Wars nightly spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Symphony in the Sky, is less than a year old, Disney has confirmed that a new Star Wars nighttime show is coming this summer. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will be the most technical nighttime spectacular to ever be performed at Walt Disney World, and will combine fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects and high-definition video projections to create a truly immersive experience for Star Wars fans to enjoy.

22. D-Luxe Burger

Status: Confirmed

Opening in: Summer 2016

D-Luxe Burger will be a Disney owned and operated concept restaurant featuring burgers made from a signature blend of beef, with unique toppings and served on freshly baked buns. Chicken and vegetarian burgers will also be available. This new restaurant will also feature artisanal gelato shakes, floats, and a few adult drink selections as well, including hard sodas, draft beer and cider.

There will also be a blaze pizza at Disney springs by the end of this year.

Awesome! Looking forward to the new attractions.

What exactly does a "c-ticket" ride mean?

All this time later and the best items on the list, the new rides (not including the redesigned rides), still have no confirmed opening date beyond a year (2017) for an Avatar Land that feels like it's been delayed more times than the Avatar sequels.

"Here in Florida, we have something special we never enjoyed at Disneyland... the blessing of size. There's enough land here to hold all the ideas and plans we can possibly imagine." - Walt Disney
