This November will be a big month for Walt Disney World, with new experiences and attractions coming to the resort (specifically at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot). As you might expect, many of these new things to do revolve around the upcoming holidays, with new dining experiences, meet and greets and more kicking off a nearly 10-week Christmas celebration at Walt Disney World. But we'll get things started with a non-holiday attraction that is debuting at Epcot very soon...
1. Check out a new exhibit at Epcot
Earlier this year it was announced that Innoventions East would be getting an all new exhibit this fall: Colortopia. Sponsored by paint company Glidden (which has a pre-existing relationship with Disney thanks to a home paint collection), this new hands-on experience promises to allow guests to interact with color in some interesting and educational ways.
Walls came down around this new exhibit recently for a promotional photo shoot, and gave a few lucky guests a sneak peek at this attraction, which will have three interactive color exploration stations that allow guests to learn about more about how color is used in our world, discover how colors mix, and go in depth with the power of color.
Though the walls have reappeared temporarily while the finishing touches are being put on this new experience, Colortopia will open to all guests later this month.
2. Meet Santa Goofy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Last week, Sorcerer Mickey was removed from his usual meet and greet spot inside the former Studio Backlot Tour queue. Though we initially took this as a sign that this structure was finally ready to be demolished as a part of the Toy Story Land construction, it looks like Mickey was instead making way for another meet and greet: Santa Goofy!
As you might expect, this new meet and greet will be seasonal, with Santa Goofy meeting guests through the first week of January in this spot. Though Halloween was only three days ago, Goofy is already meeting guests all throughout the day, with only a short break from 5-6:30PM before closing out the day.
