Walt Disney World is constantly changing its refurbishment schedule, making it difficult for guests to keep up with the operating schedules and latest news regarding their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are five big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by their respective parks or at the least very strongly rumored for the very near future.

For October's refurbishment update, we take a look at some additional changes beyond the new film rumored to be coming to Soarin' during what could be a lengthy closure early next year. We also take a look at three restaurant refurbishments happening around the resort (including one that will be far more extensive than we originally thought) plus a few minor changes happening at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Grand Floridian resort. If you're going to be visiting Walt Disney World in the near future, make sure you know about all these confirmed and rumored closings!

1. Soarin'

Status: Rumored

Dates: January-Spring(?) 2016

Though we've known for some time that Soarin' will be getting a big upgrade next year with the addition of a third theater and the new Soarin' Around the World film, Orlando Parks News reports that this attraction will be getting some additional attention early next year when the current version goes down for refurbishment in advance of the debut of the new theater and film.

Among the changes that are rumored to be a part of this rumored refurbishment are an all-new, themed queue, a new restroom in the abandoned space of The Land formerly occupied by Kitchen Kabaret, installation of 4K projectors in all three theaters and a completely redesigned entrance.

While this refurbishment is unconfirmed by Disney (so all this is still technically a rumor) these changes are all improvements that would make sense with the upcoming switch to the new Soarin' film, and would help to re-launch this ride in 2016. However, what will be interesting to see is exactly how long this ride will stay down for refurbishment. Though Epcot isn't hurting as badly as neighbor Disney's Hollywood Studios when it comes to rides, this attraction consistently draws huge crowds and we'd bet that wait times at other attractions (primarilly Test Track) will soar as a result. Though these changes could take several months to implement, we're hoping if this rumored refurbishment will be completed sooner rather than later.

2. Sunset Ranch Market quick service restaurants

Status: Confirmed

Dates: October 13 - November 19th, 2015

The Sunset Ranch Market food court on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the most popular grab-and-go eatieries at the park, but it looks like guests who want a quick bite before Fantasmic will have limited options for the next few weeks, as Rosie’s All American Cafe and Catalina Eddie’s are both currently walled off as they undergo a month-long refurbishment.

Though this refurbishment was announced a few days in advance, Disney has not confirmed what changes will be happening while these two locations are closed. Considering the length of the refurbishment (and the fact that there are walls around the two locations) we'd guess that some equipment upgrades and perhaps an entrance change in the works for these two locations, but nothing has been made official yet. Considering menu upgrades have already hit two quick service locations at Walt Disney World in the past two weeks, it's reasonable to assume that new food choices may also be a part of the changes planned for these locations as well.

I think the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular needs to disappear permanently. I know it's a classic(ish) attraction, but the time has come and gone for me. I know it won't because they are relaunching the franchise, but it would be nice to use that space for something else. A new show to keep things interesting.
