If shopping is your favorite part of a trip to Walt Disney World, you'll be happy to find that October brings plenty of exciting new merchandise to the resort.
From designer handbags to the long-awaited debut of purple MagicBands, there are a lot of amazing things releaseing this month at Walt Disney World. All of these items are either available now or will become available in the next few weeks.
1. Purple MagicBands
This is not a drill. Purple MagicBands are coming to Walt Disney World! Though no plans have been announced to bring plain purple MagicBands to the standard MagicBand lineup, if you are one of the many who have been waiting for this color of MagicBand, there are now two designs you can choose from. One is a open edition band featuring classic Disney Villains and the other is a limited release MAgicBand featuring a Haunted Mansion-inspired design.
2. New Vera Bradley bags
The super-popular Disney Collection by Vera Bradley will be getting over a dozen new items this month featuring two fresh styles: “Mickey Meets Birdie” and “Preppy Poly.” The former is pictured above and features cute mickey icons and little birds. This style is available for ten different items including backpacks, wallets, wristlets, hipster bags, ID cases and Vera bags.
The second style, Preppy Polly will be available in two colors (red and blue) with four items total for each color. You can see this design below.
Both of these new styles are available at Walt Disney World beginning October 9th at Cherry Tree Lane (inside the Marketplace Co-Op) at Disney Springs.
3. Nightmare Before Christmas Dooney & Bourke bags
It's not just Vera Wang getting a new bag line this month at Walt Disney World! Last week a new collection of Dooney & Bourke bags themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas were released. This new series can be found inside the Marketplace Co-op at Disney Springs as well as at the Magic Kingdom.
4. Villainous Pins
Though we've already taken a look at the various Halloween inspired goodies available at the Walt Disney World resort, it looks like some villanous seasonal pins are also coming to the resort this month. Available beginning October 8th, these 2015-dated pins are limited release and are available at Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs.
5. Twenty-Eight & Main coffee mugs
Walt Disney World has no shortage of coffee mug options, but if you're looking for something a bit more subtle than a giant Spaceship Earth or Mickey-eared mug, a new line of "designer" mugs is coming to the resort this month. Billed as part of the Twenty-Eight & Main men's apparel line, these mugs celebrate classic Disney attractions like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Peter Pan's Flight in an unobtrusive but fun way.
