With Walt Disney World’s constantly changing refurbishment schedule, it can be difficult for guests to keep up with the latest news on their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are six big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by Disney or at the least very strongly rumored to be hitting Walt Disney World in the very near future. For June's update, we'll start out with a pair of refurbishments at Disney's Hollywood Studios...

1. The Magic of Disney Animation (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Status: Rumored

Dates: Late summer 2015 - ???

A new rumor has popped up recently that indicates some big changes could be coming to The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney's Hollywood Studios very soon. According to WDWNT, this attraction will be going down for refurbishment in the very near future (no specific dates were provided) with some exhibits in the post-Mulan show area being moved around so that the "learn to draw" Animation Academy can be expanded.

Currently there are no confirmed refurbishments on the Walt Disney World calendar for this attraction, but considering the popularity of the "learn to draw" portions of the attraction (and corresponding unpopularity of other areas in the walk-through area of The Magic of Disney Animation), it is definitely feasible that this unconfirmed refurbishment could get official in the very near future.

Of course, some are speculating that this upcoming refurbishment could turn into yet another closure for Disney's Hollywood Studios as the park prepares for its impending reboot. However, considering the sheer volume of attractions that have already closed at this park over the past 12 months, getting rid of yet another attraction that at least recieves a moderate amount of guest traffic seems pretty unlikely, even if its not exactly the most visible or popular attraction at the park.

2. Villains in Vogue (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: June 22-26th, 2015

One of the most popular retail outlets at Disney's Hollywood Studios has been confirmed to be going though a bit of a reimagining during a short refurbishment period this month. Sunset Boulevard's Villains in Vogue store closed its doors for a short refurbishment earlier this week, but in a surprising development signage posted outside the currently-shut shop a few days ago indicated that when this retail location re-opens it will no longer be selling strictly villains-themed merchandise, and will even have a new name. According to the posted sign, the former Villains in Vogue will now be known as 'Reel Vogue' and will sell "Tinseltown treasures" including "plushes, toys, housewares and more".

Considering the short refurbishment period we doubt much will change in this shop's interior (perhaps some of the villains artwork will remain) but the shift away from villains-only merchandise is certainly a surprise, as many flocked to this retail location for its unique assortment of all things evil. From the sounds of it 'Reel Vogue' will be another carbon copy Disney souvenir shop similar to the other retail locations that dot Hollywood Boulevard, (like Cover Story and Mickey's of Hollywood). If this is indeed the case, its certainly a loss for guests who liked the variety that Villains in Vogue provided.

Of course, we won't have to wait long to find out what changes actually come to pass at this retail location, as Villaisn in Vogue is scheduled to reopen as Reel Vogue later this week.

No more Villains in Vogue? Are they kidding? Well, I guess I can scratch MGM off my list of parks to visit now. VERY disappointed Disney. :(

Villains in Vogue is the most unique and awesome shops at DisneyWorld. Very disappointing news.

No, no, no, NO! Villains in Vogue gone??? It was my favorite shop! Where will we get villain stuff now?

Be honest with yourselves here. Have you been into Villains and Vogue lately? Like - within the past year or two? They didn't even have any villain things. 1/4 was the candy shop, 1/4 was nightmare before christmas, 1/4 was star wars, and then there was a section of like random stuff like the dragon from Fantasmic and the Fantasmic soundtrack and like, maybe ear hats Maleficent horns.

So yeah, it's about time they changed the name. I walked in last week and said 'And what about this is villain?' So good for them for realizing the fault.

Uh, the stuffed dragon & the dragon from Fantasmic are both Maleficent. Think that's a real good villain! Disney just let the store go wayside. It used to have so much more back in the day.
