Late last month Epcot kicked off its annnual Holidays around the world celebration, which includes several special shows to help guests celebrate the holiday. Though there are plenty of old favorites in this year's Holidays around the World lineup, there are also some brand new shows as well.

Want to check out everything that is new (and returning) at this year's event without dealing with the swelling holiday crowds packing the parks this week? Our photo report gives you an inside look...no waiting required!

A brand new show debuts in Mexico

One of the new elements of this year's Holidays Around the World celebration is a brand new show in Mexico that features Mariachi Cobre performing with two dancers that share music and dances reminicent of the season. The show caps off with a pinata for the children in the audience!

The flowers and ribbons on the Mexican dancer's head have symbolic meaning in the Mexican Navidad tradition.

A new show also debuts in Morocco

In addition to the new show in Mexico, a new "Spcie of Life" show also made its debut in Morocco. This show is unique as it doesn't specifically address the Christmas holiday, but instead educates guests about all of the year-round festivals in the various regions of Morocco.

The different items on the cart represent the different annual festivals that are the "Spice of Life" in Morocco.

Like many of the other holiday-themed shows at Epcot, this one has plenty of opportunities for children to get involved. Here, this little one has been nominated to be the Princess of the Rose Festival.

Thanks for the pics. Holidays Around the World is my favorite WDW event. (Yes, even over Osbourne Lights and MVMCP.) Last year at this time we were there, but it will be at least 2017 until we do another Christmas trip, so articles like this help to keep the Christmas magic alive!

I said "hello" to LeVar Burton when I worked at EPCOT back in 2000. I was backstage between Tapestry parades and he was leaving the practice tent and getting into his limo.

I was a College Program member in the Tapestry of Nations parade... best 5 months of my life!
