This past week was a big one for Disney Springs, as it saw the opening not just of the West Side parking garage, but also the brand new Food Truck Park eating area. In addition to these two big openings, several new walkways and open areas were opened to the public (despite not being quite finished).
Though Disney Springs isn't due to officially open its phase one until Spring, checking out these four brand new areas will help give you a feel for how this project is coming along and what it will look like when completed.
1. The West Side parking garage opens
A little over a week ago the first parking garage at what is to become Disney Springs officially opened. Although parts of this garage are still heavily under construction, guests can still park on the first four levels and use the escalators, stairs, and elevators. The walkway to Disney Springs is also still under construction but there is a temporary scaffold area that guests can use to get from the garage to the West Side.

2. The Food Truck Park begins serving
Another new area that has opened in the past few days is the new Food Truck Park. This large, circular area has four permanent food trucks and one rotating truck, all situated around an expansive seating area with some beautiful views of the waterfront. There is also a small semicircle where performers can set up in the evening. Guests can find this area in between the Bongos restaurant and the Characters in Flight balloon.

Cast members hand out menus letting guests know about the different options at the permanent food trucks. If the tables in the circular area are full, there is additional seaing in the black pavillion facing Harley-Davidson and D-Street.
