Though guests from all over the world come to Walt Disney World to experience its world class attractions, many guests often find Walt Disney World’s food offerings to be a surprising highlight of their visit.
Like everything else at Walt Disney World, food offerings and menus are constantly changing and being updated with new and exciting options. Here are four new items you can now sample at the parks. But be aware, some of these items are available for a limited time, so if you want to check out all of these new tastes, you’ll have to act fast!
1. Bloody Mary quartet at Dawa Bar, Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The Bloody Mary has long been a breakfast staple, especially for those who like to get their morning started with some intense flavors (and a little bit of an alcohol kicker!). The Dawa Bar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom serves up four varieties of Bloody Mary including the basic Discovery Island Bloody Mary which consists of the traditional Grey Goose Vodka, Bloody Mary mix, lime juice and olive juice. This Bloody Mary is garnished with parsley and a skewer of mozzarella cheese, tomato, basil and stuffed olive.
If you are looking for something a bit more adventurous, the Dawa Bloody Mary adds Worcestershire sauce and horseradish to the mix, and has a basil, truffle and blue cheese-stuffed olive and prosciutto garnish. The Asian Bloody Mary adds spicy kimchee-sriracha puree to the standard Bloody Mary cocktail and is garnished with Asian coleslaw as well as spicy tandoori shrimp. Finally, the African Bloody Mary is spiked with spicy African berbere sauce and features a berbere-rubbed beef jerky, carrot and parsley garnish. The African Bloody Mary is also the only Bloody Mary to feature the drink’s signature celery stalk!
No matter which Bloody Mary strikes your fancy, the cost for one of these sips is $9.50. But you’ll have to get to the park early, as these cocktails are only available from 9-11am.
2. Multi-Grain Breakfast Croissant at Pizzafari, Disney’s Animal Kingdom
If you’re in the mood for a bite to eat after a breakfast cocktail or two, Pizzafari has a great new multi-grain breakfast croissant that is a hearty spin on the classic breakfast sandwich.
This breakfast item features a thick, crusty multi-grain croissant stuffed with scrambled egg whites, fresh spinach, provolone cheese and a house-made vegetable chutney spread. Though there are plenty of indulgent food items to be found at Walt Disney World, this is one healthy option that you don’t have to feel too bad about that will still fill you up.
This sandwich is available before 11am at Pizzafari and is served with breakfast potatoes. The cost is $7.49.
