Universal Orlando announced the roll out of phase two for the Diagon Alley soft opening on Thursday July 3, and there is plenty for fans to check out.
While the usual disclaimers about random closings and downtimes during soft openings apply, Universal opened up the gates to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley (seemingly) for good. Here’s everything fans can check out in this new area right now! Oh, and the one thing they can't….
1. You CAN purchase and use interactive wands
Excited about conjuring up some magic at Diagon Alley? Now that the entire area has been opened to guests you can purchase their very own interactive wands from Ollivander’s and cast spells around both Diagon Alley as well as Hogsmeade. We’ve got a run down of the features of the interactive wands here.
2. You CAN get a drink or a bite to eat
All of the restaurants and quick-service areas are now open in Diagon Alley, including the Leaky Cauldron, Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor and even the Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment drink stand. No matter whether you want to sample some Butterbeer ice cream, fishy green ale, one of Universal’s two exclusive beers, or even something a bit more hearty for lunch or dinner you can satisfy your craving for wizard fare inside Diagon Alley right now.
