Theme parks often include special shows and entertainment for the Fourth of July holiday, and 2014 will be no different. Here are some of the new and returning Fourth of July entertainment options for those visiting the Florida theme parks for this year's holiday.

1. Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World will have special Fourth of July-themed nighttime entertainment at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

At Magic Kingdom, guests on both July 3rd and 4th will be able to check out a special patriotic ‘Concert in the Sky’ Fireworks show at 9PM. This is one of the most popular fireworks shows in the entire central Florida area (it is often simulcast on local news networks) and the park often reaches capacity long before the first firework goes off, so if you want to see this show, plan to get to the park early.

If you are looking for a less crowded venue at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will put on its annual Rockin’ Fourth of July Celebration event at beginning at 6PM. This event will feature music by Hollywood Studios band Mulch, Sweat and Shears and will end with a fireworks spectacular at 10:15PM.

Finally, at EPCOT, there will be special Fourth of July-themed entertainment at the American Adventure at World Showcase, including periodic appearances by personalities like Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross. A special Fourth of July concert will also take place at the America Gardens Theater featuring the Voices of Liberty singing group. Check the times guide online for showtimes. Finally, EPCOT’s nightly Illuminations performance will feature a special patriotic “Heartbeat of Freedom” segment produced specifically for the holiday.

2. Legoland

Legoland in Florida will host its second annual Red, Brick and Boom festival on the Fourth of July this year. This all-day event kicks off with fun carnival-style games on the Mansion Lawn that kids can take part in from 10:00AM-5:00PM. Kids can also build their own LEGO star to be featured on a giant LEGO American flag at the Fun Tower Plaza. Later in the evening, there will be a special party in Miniland USA with music by DJ Renee, kicking off at 5PM. The day-long celebration will then be capped off by a special fireworks finale at 9PM that allows guests to use special glasses that transform the bright fireworks into dazzling LEGO bricks.
