Revealed: 10 new details of the Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando

5. It'll be two rides in one

Buckbeak

There will be two completely different journeys - one from Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley, and one in the opposite direction. Each will feature a different storyline and characters.

4. The Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley trip (spoilers)

Hagrid

When riding from Hogsmeade to London, guests will see Hagrid waving to the train from Hogsmeade station, Fred and George Weasley flying alongside the train on broomsticks, Buckbeak the Hippogriff flying over the black lake and the Knight Bus racing through the streets of London.

3. The Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade trip (spoilers)

The reverse trip will include scenes of the British countryside, dementors, Hedwig the owl and Hagrid riding on Sirius Black's motorcycle.

2. It'll be suitable for the whole family

Universal was keen to stress that the Hogwarts Express ride will be suitable for the whole family, despite the presence of dementors. This is essential, given that it will transport guests from one theme park to another - and it would hardly be possible to leave smaller children behind.

1. It may feature a candy trolley

Candy Trolley

Universal refused to confirm whether the candy trolley seen in the books and movies would play a part in the Hogwarts Express ride experience. However, an executive did tell MTV that "you may see something like that. All I can say is that it's true to the experience in the movies."

You can find out everything you need to know about the ride in our extensive Hogwarts Express guide.
