Seven Dwarfs Mine Train concept art

Walt Disney World has released the first ever video to show the on-board ride experience of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the new roller coaster that is due to open imminently at the Magic Kingdom.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take guests on a tour around the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, as well as through the enchanted forest and Snow White's cottage. The ride's main gimmick is its unique cars, which will swing outwards as they round corners in the track. Disney's signature audio-animatronic characters are also set to feature heavily in the family-friendly ride.

The latest rumors suggest that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train could soft open as early as mid-March, although Disney has kept quiet about both soft opening periods and an official opening dates so far.

In the meantime, check out the on-ride footage below:

The next video offers a side-by-side look at the actual Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride experience as compared to a computer-generated rendering released early on in the project:

I was part of the "soft" opening last week (Wed). The ride is wonderful. Very mild coaster with brilliant animations and scenes.

We witnessed a crown gathering at the ride entrance, walked over to see what was going on. Somehow I ended up on line to ride.

The line moved very quickly as there were only a handful of people riding, but I could see that there was a lot to do to keep yourself occupied while waiting.

Visiting WDW in September...cant wait to ride!

The video clip frame by frame makes this look like it will be an awesome adventure! Hope it goes over with the visitors in a Big Way! Wish we could visit Florida to ride it ourselves but we don't make enough to get that far; so, we go to Anaheim, CA Disneyland and enjoy the ambiance there... We love the Disney visions...
