Alton Towers has announced the opening date for the under-construction CBeebies Land, while parent company Merlin is offering 30+ percent off its annual passes.
CBeebies Land will not be ready in time for the start of the new season, but will instead open on May 24, 2014. It will be a complete overhaul of the Old MacDonald's Farmyard area, featuring attractions themed around kids favourites such as Postman Pat and In the Night Garden.
Covering 5 acres, the area will not feature any major new attractions but will instead boast rethemed versions of the existing Old MacDonald's Farmyard rides. Alton Towers has also promised that "hands-on learning experiences" will form a part of the updated land.
The opening date falls on the first weekend of the summer half-term for local schools, and also coincides with a bank holiday weekend. You can find full details of the attractions coming to CBeebies Land in Theme Park Tourist's original report on the land.
Meanwhile, Merlin is offering up to 30 percent off its Annual Passes during a special sale in January 2014. You can all the details in our Special Offer Watch.
