The Simpsons Ride and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at the Universal Orlando Resort are to receive upgraded projectors in the near future.
The updates to the two rides were confirmed by a submission to the Orange County Comptroller, as reported by Parkscope. They will be the latest rides at the resort to receive improved multimedia technology, with The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man having received a major overhaul in 2012.
The Simpsons Ride opened in 2008, but is based on essentially the same technology as Back to the Future: The Ride, which opened back in 1991.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, meanwhile, is the headline ride of the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which opened in 2010. It remains the most popular ride at the Universal Orlando Resort and is currently ranked as the best theme park ride in the world by Theme Park Tourist readers.
