The pieces that will make up Falcon's Fury, the unique drop tower ride that will open at Busch Gardens Tampa in 2014, have arrived on site at the park.
Construction workers will soon begin putting the pieces of the tower together, with Falcon's Fury set to stand at some 335-feet-tall when its is completed. A total of nine sections, each with a diameter of up to 20 feet and weighing as much as 95 tons, will be used. The ride will become the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America when it opens next spring.
Here's a video of the Falcon's Fury sections arriving on site:
Falcon's Fury will send riders plummeting towards the ground below at 60 miles per hour. Its chief gimmick, though, will be that it twists guests by 90 degrees so that they are facing directly downwards before they freefall down to the bottom.

Busch Gardens Tampa's new addition will be themed around the concept of diving towards the earth like a bird of prey. The ride will replace the former Sandstorm flat ride in the Timbuktu area of the park.
