New images of the locomotives that will be employed by the Hogwarts Express attraction at the Universal Orlando Resort have been posted online.
The photographs, embedded below, offer a close-up look at the engines, which feature a design that closely matches the trains seen in the Harry Potter movies. The locomotives and carriages of the Hogwarts Express will carry guests between the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure and the under-construction Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida.

Due to open in 2014, the Hogwarts Express will mimic the journey that Potter and his friends take at the start of a new term at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Riders will not look out of actual windows (from which they'd see nothing but backstage areas of Universal Orlando), but will instead see artificial scenery projected onto screens.
Construction work is continuing apace for the the new ride, with most of the track now in place and the stations at either end beginning to emerge.
