Universal Studios Florida has opened the latest section of its The Simpsons-themed Springfield area, featuring several new dining outlets and a gift shop.
The first tranche of Springfield attractions opened earlier this year, offering a variety of dining options in the Fast Food Boulevard area. The latest area to open, the waterfront, hosts the Lard Lad Donuts outlet, the Bumblebee Man Tacos truck and the Duff Brewery.
Yet to make its debut is the Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl flat ride, which remains behind construction walls. The ride will feature the aliens made famous by the Treehouse of Horror episodes of The Simpsons, and will see guests spinning and bobbing up and down on the end of long arms.
