Australia's Adventure World to install $12 million "world class" attraction for 2013

Adventure World construction

The Adventure World theme park in Western Australia is embarking on its most ambitious project to date, promising to install a new $12 million attraction by the end of 2013.

The park is keeping quiet on the nature of the attraction for now, but the hefty cost almost certainly means that it is a major roller coaster. The ride is being shipped from Europe in 48 different parts, leading to speculation that it is a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter model similar to Saw - The Ride at Thorpe Park and the new The Smiler coaster at Alton Towers.

For now, the ride is simply known as "The Secret". Adventure World has promised to reveal further details via its official website and Facebook page over the coming months. No firm opening date has been set for the new addition.

Adventure World is the largest theme park in Western Australia, and is located close to Perth. Unlike the larger parks on the country's Gold Coast, it operates seasonally. Included in its current attraction line-up are a single small roller coaster, a selection off-the-shelf thrill rides, and a variety of water slides.
