Video, images: Pigs fly as SkyScreamer debuts at Six Flags Over Georgia

SkyScreamer at Six Flags Over Georgia

The towering SkyScreamer attraction at Six Flags Over Georgia has debuted to the media, ahead of its official public opening date on Friday, May 24, 2013.

SkyScreamer is a vertigo-inducing variation on the classic "Chair-O-Plane" attraction, and sees riders swinging in a circle around a 242-foot central tower. Reaching a top of speed of over 43 miles per hour, they are able to take in panoramic views of the park and its surroundings. Guests are seated in 2-seater swings, each of which provides a "front row seat".

As can be seen in the video and images below, a herd of "pigs" took to the skies to celebrate SkyScreamer's debut:

SkyScreamer is now the tallest ride at Six Flags Over Goergia, standing some 40 feet taller than the Goliath roller coaster. It has replaced Wheelie, a classic HUSS Enterprise attraction.
