Disney's MyMagic+ system is due to debut at Walt Disney World later this year, enabling guests to pre-book slots during which they can ride their favourite attractions without queuing. But what is the real motivation behind the scheme? Disney's CFO tells all. Meanwhile, Dollywood will open its new RiverRush water coaster this weekend, while Kings Dominion is inviting families to the first-ever SnoopyCON event.

Disney's CFO has revealed that the company hopes that its new MyMagic+ system will help keep guests at Walt Disney World for a great share of their Orlando vacation, discouraging them from exploring other local attractions.

Dollywood has released a new video that previews its new RiverRush water coaster, which will debut at the park's Splash Country water park on May 11, 2013.

Kings Dominion

After opening its expanded Planet Snoopy area, Kings Dominion will host the first-ever SnoopyCON event on Saturday, July 6. This will be aimed at families, and will include a Peanuts character breakfast, early ride time on all 18 Planet Snoopy rides and a behind-the-scenes tour of the area.

SeaWorld Entertainment

SeaWorld Entertainment, the owner of the three SeaWorld parks in the US as well as the Busch Gardens parks in Tampa and Williamsburg, plans to refinance its debt by taking out a $1.4 billion loan. The company is investing heavily in expansion at present, with projects such as the addition of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin at SeaWorld Orlando.
