Star Wars Miniland

LEGOLAND Florida will join Walt Disney World in celebrating "Star Wars Day" on the weekend of May 4-5, with guests being challenged to help build an enormous model of Yoda.

A number of special activities will be laid on for visitors, including the construction of the giant Yoda model in Fun Town outside of the 4D Theater. Fans will also be able to take part in a "Yoda Scavenger Hunt" in Miniland USA, with prizes including admission tickets and a LEGO Star Wars set. The 4D Theater will show a LEGO Star Wars video three times per day, while photo opportunities will be available in Star Wars Miniland.

LEGOLAND parks retain close ties with Star Wars due to the hugely popular licensed LEGO Star Wars toy line. This is despite Disney having acquired Star Wars creator LucasFilm in October 2012.

Walt Disney World will host its own Star Wars Day celebrations at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 4. The event will be separate from the annual Star Wars Weekends events, which will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios from May 7 - June 9, 2013.
