Six Flags New England tests "weather guarantee" ahead of potential chain-wide roll-out

Six Flags New England will test out a new "weather guarantee" during the 2013 season, ahead of a potential roll-out across Six Flags' theme park chain.

The Boston Business Journal reports that guests at the park will receive a free ticket to return to the park if staff are forced to shut down its 15 most popular rides for at least an hour during their visit.

If the scheme proves to be successful, then Six Flags will seek to replicate it at all 18 of its parks in the US, Canada and Mexico.

The new season at Six Flags New England kicked off on April 13.
