Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

Tokyo Disneyland has released a new promotional video for the soon-to-open Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, featuring Darth Vader on a tour of Tokyo.

The Sith Lord appears to have got lost en route to the May 7 opening day of the updated ride, which will replace the original Star Tours attraction in Tokyo Disneyland's line-up. The video, embedded below, sees Vader taking in the sights in Tokyo, doing a little shopping and even sunbathing.

Versions of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue opened at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2011, replacing the original Star Tours at both parks. Tokyo Disneyland's version will be identical, featuring the same 3-D projection techniques and updated simulator ride system.

Like the original ride, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is based on the Star Wars movie series. The attraction features 54 different possible experiences, meaning that guests will take a different "journey" almost every time they ride it. Different combinations of storylines are generated at random, helping to keep riders guessing what will happen next.

Full details of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue can be found in Theme Park Tourist's in-depth review of the Disney's Hollywood Studios version.
