Alton Towers has confirmed details of its operating dates and opening hours for 2013, with the full season set to kick off on Saturday, March 16.
The park will open at 10am throughout the season. It will close at 5, 5,30 or 6pm, with the longer hours being reserved primarily for the peak summer months. As is usual, the closing time is likely to be extended until 9pm during the Scarefest Halloween events. The season will come to an end on November 10.
The park was subjected to severe criticism from fans during the 2012 season, when ride closure times were brought forward to 4pm on select dates. This money-saving policy appears to have been dropped for the 2013 season.
As in previous seasons, a large number of "two-for-one" offers and other discounts are likely to be made available for Alton Towers tickets throughout 2011. Keep watching Theme Park Tourist's Special Offer Watch for details of deals and discounts as they emerge.
Alton Towers is currently offering a special "Double Joy" ticket which enables guests who book in advance to visit once early in the season, and to return again for just £1 following the opening of the new The Smiler roller coaster in May.
