Adventure Island

Southend-on-Sea's Adventure Island amusement park has launched its first-ever Annual Pass, as it kicks off its 2013 season.

Adventure Island is selling the passes via its official website, with prices ranging from £45 to £75 depending on the height of the passholder. In addition to enabling unlimited entry to the park for 12 months, the pass also provides a 20% discount on in-park purchases including food, drink and photo souvenirs.

Describing the decision to launch the pass, Adventure Island's Managing Director Marc Miller said: "People have been asking me to introduce an annual pass for years, because with over 60 rides and attractions there is so much for visitors of all ages to see, do and enjoy, but it can be hard to do everything on each visit. That is why we find families keep coming back to visit us time and again throughout the year – so they can revisit their favourite attractions and enjoy new ones. We are acutely aware money is tight for families right now, so that is we decided the moment was right to introduce the Annual Pass as it is a cost effective option for our loyal customers who come back and visit us time and time again."

Located on the seafront at Southend-on-Sea in Essex, England, Adventure Island is a free-to-enter amusement park. It hosts five roller coasters and a number of other thrill rides, along with gentler rides for younger guests. One-off visitors can choose either to pay for each ride individually, or to buy wristbands that enable unlimited rides for a single day.
