Disneyland has confirmed that the new Fantasy Faire area, an addition to the park's existing Fantasyland, will officially open to guests on March 12, 2013.

The boundaries of Fantasyland will be expanded to incorporate the former Carnation Plaza Gardens area, which closed to make way for Fantasy Faire. Centered around a village square, the area will offer guests the chance to meet-and-greet Disney princesses including Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Mulan, Belle, Pocohontas, Jasmine, Tiana and Ariel in the Royal Hall.

Disney has released new concept artwork of the Royal Theatre, which will host shows based on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. Two "Renaissance Storytellers", Mr Smythe and Mr Jones, will narrate the shows.
