SeaWorld Orlando's Aquatica water park is to host its annual Polar Plunge event on February 2, 2013, in support of the Special Olympics Florida.
During the event, the park's wave pool will be cooled down to an icy temperature, with participants being challenged to "plunge" into its depths. Guests who raise more than $100 for the Special Olympics Florida will be rewarded with early entry, an all-day food pass, a commemorative T-shirt and two passes for spectators.
The Polar Plunge itself will take place at 11am, with registration opening at 9.30am. The park's other attractions will operate as normal (with heated water) throughout the day.
Those looking to take part in the Polar Plunge can find full details on the Special Olympics Florida website.
