New Orleans Bayou Bash at Disneyland

With the opening date for its new SW7 roller coaster rumoured to be delayed, Alton Towers has confirmed that it will bring back the temporary The Sanctuary horror maze attraction for the start of the 2013 season. Meanwhile, Disneyland and Walt Disney World continue to host special events as part of the Limited Time Magic promotion, and Kentucky Kingdom's protracted rescue rumbles on.

Alton Towers is set to bring back horror maze The Sanctuary for the start of the 2013 season, to tie-in with the debut of the new SW7 roller coaster in the X-Sector area. Meanwhile, the nearby Oblivion roller coaster is set to be repainted.

Epcot

Walt Disney World has revelaed that its next Limited Time Magic celebration will be the temporary installation of a "Winter Wonderland" at Epcot's Canada Pavilion.

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World appears to have dropped the "no expiration" option that was previously available on multi-day tickets, with all tickets now expiring after 14 days. Some reports suggest that the option may still be available when buying through the old version of the park's website, or through travel agents and resellers. However, it appears that the option is likely to be phased out completely, in line with the existing policy at the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland

With the A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue show having debuted last week as part of the Limited Time Magic celebrations, Disney offers up a video interview with the choreographer of the original show, Miriam Nelson.

Meanwhile, the Disneyland Resort has confirmed that its next Limited Time Magic special event will be the New Orleans Bayou Bash!. Returning from previous years, the event will feature a range of special shows and performances, and will take place on January 18-21, January 25-27, February 1-3 and February 8-12.

Kentucky Kingdom

A deal with former owner Ed Hart to take over the lease for the shuttered Kentucky Kingdom theme park is reportedly set to be considered by the state Fair Board on January 24, 2013.
