SeaWorld Orlando has released a new video preview of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, the major new attraction that will debut at the park in 2013.
The video, embedded below, features the park's Creative Director Brian Morrow. He discusses the creation of the dark ride and animal exhibit that will make up Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, offering a behind-the-scenes view of the construction site. Further video previews are promised over the coming weeks and months.
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin is being billed by SeaWorld Orlando as "the world's coldest theme park ride", and will use a trackless ride system similar to that employed by Pooh's Hunny Hunt at Tokyo Disneyland. This will enable some elements to change each time a guest rides it, with the park promising that the Antarctica ride will offer a different experience every time.
Guests will disembark their ride vehicles for a closer look at the penguins, in a similar experience to the existing Wild Arctic simulator attraction. The new exhibit will house gentoo, rockhopper, adelie and king penguins.
